Alexandra Stein is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota. A native of South Africa Stein's family was active in the anti-Apartheid movement, and she herself raised money on behalf of the ANC. During the early 1970's, Stein sold newspapers for the Black Panther Party, and was a union organizer in San Francisco. For ten years she was a member of the "O," a secret Marxist-Leninist organization. Stein is the author of Inside Out: A Memoir of Entering and Breaking Out of a Political Cult.

Bentley Durband (aka "Ben Crew") is a member of the Twin Cities hardcore band In Defense, and a former member of Sweet JAP, The Divebomb Honey, Damage Deposit, the 1-2-Go! Crew, and other bands. Ben helped release the three record "No Hold Back, All Attack!" compilation, and last year's "Bring It Together" compilation -a double album of Twin Cities punk and hardcore bands.
Chank Diesel (Charles Anderson) is a professional font designer and a former editor of Cake. Chank is widely credited as the inventor of "grunge typography." His work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. You can see his typefaces on a wide range of consumer products, including Taco Bell, Huggies Diapers, and Barbie dolls.
Chuck Miller is a professor of English who attended the 1987 Building the Movement anarchist convention in Minneapolis.

Don Olson is a draft counselor and a former co-op organizer. In the early 1970's, Olson was imprisoned for draft resistance; he served 20 months of a five year prison sentence. Olson was a member of Northern Sun Alliance, publishers of Northern Sun News. For more than twenty years, he has hosted the Northern Sun radio program on KFAI Radio (90.3 FM). Olson is currently the owner of Don Olson Distribution, a company specializing in the alternative press.

Gloria Walker is a journalist and video activist. In the 1980's, Walker worked with Paper Tiger Television, a media collective based in New York City. Walker's writing has also been featured in Z Magazine.
Gordon Edgar (better known by the pen name "Gordonzola") is a Bay Area writer and a 20-year veteran of the North American anarchist movement. Edgar has previously written for Maximumrocknroll, Clamor, and Zine World. He is the author of Epicenter Zine. Edgar is a cheese buyer for Rainbow Grocery, a worker-owned co-operative in San Francisco. He has served on the board of the Western Worker Cooperative Conference and the Network of Bay Area Worker Cooperatives (NoBAWC).
Guy Picciotto is a member of Fugazi, a D.C. punk band formed in 1987. Picciotto was previously the singer for Rites of Spring, one of the first emo bands. In addition to his work with Fugazi, Picciotto has also produced albums for Blonde Redhead, Quix-o-tic, The Gossip, and other artists.
Jennifer Toomey is co-founder of Simple Machines Records. She is currently the Executive Director of the Future of Music Coalition. Toomey is a former member of Positive Force D.C. During the 1990's, she played in a number of bands, including: Tsunami, Grenadine, Geek, and Liquorice.
Jeff Nygaard is a freelance writer, and the publisher of Nygaard Notes. During the 70's and 80's, Nygaard was very active in the co-op movement, and held a leadership position at the North Country Co-op. HIs writing has appeared in Z Magazine, The Minneapolis Star-Tribune, and Love and Rage. Nygaard is a member of the National Writer's Union Twin Cities Local #13 UAW.

Joel Olson is an assistant professor of Political Science at Northern Arizona University, and a former member of the Love and Rage Revolutionary Anarchist Federation. Jon Kass is the co-founder of Susstones Records and Prospective Records, a longtime radio DJ, currently Alternative Distribution Alliance. Mr. Kass writes: "I got to meet The Clash in the '70s... I helped book Minor Threat in Minneapolis in 1983."
Kristin Thomsom is a community organizer and a former member of the band Tsunami. Thomsom is the co-founder of Simple Machines Records, a successful indie label, and is co-author of The Mechanic's Guide to Putting Out Records, Cassettes, and CDs. Thomsom is currently the Deputy Director of the Future of Music Coalition. She holds a Master's in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware.

Mike Sawyer is a former member of Youth Against Militarism / Youth Taking Action, a former office manager for Northern Sun Alliance, and a former member of the Emma Goldman Anarchist Center. In recent years, Sawyer has served on the Board of Directors for Mississippi Market, a natural foods co-op. Sawyer was active in the long-running protests against the reroute of Highway 55. In the year 2000, he released a benefit CD called "Trees and Water: Songs of Resistance."

Ollie Stench (né Brad Beving) is a member of The Ed Gein Fan Club ("Minneapolis' longest-surviving punk band). He has also played with the Subversives, the Divebomb Honey, and other groups. Stench is currently Bartender to the Stars on "Drinking With Ian," a local variety show that airs on the Minneapolis Television Network.
Peter Kuper is is a professional cartoonist and graphic illustrator. Cooper's work has been featured in Time Magazine, Newsweek, and The New York Times. He is the co-founder of World War 3 Illustrated, a political comix anthology (1979 - Today).

Peter Jesperson is the co-founder of Twin / Tone Records, and a seminal figure in the Minneapolis music scene. Jesperson was the longtime manager of The Replacements, and has worked with a wide range of artists, including Soul Asylum and R.E.M. He is currently Senior Vice President / A&R for New West Records in Hollywood, CA.
Sin (Susan) Davies was a founding member of Minneapolis Riot Grrrl, D.C. Riot Grrrl, and the Emma Goldman Anarchist Center. Ms. Davies was also active in the Minnehaha Free State and the student protests at the National Autonomous University in Mexico City.
